Boni Lundin case update : on june 20th in small claims court Ms. Lundin's grandson who had his car towed illegally from Santa Fe Trails in January of this year won a judgement against the manager for doing so and got a check from him for the full amount of towing and court fees. This is one of three fights that we are helping her with . The other 2 are an assault charge brought by the same manager against her which happened out of the park alledgedly and an eviction process for two violations of guests in her home which in my opinion are bogus. Mr. Buric today has sent a note to her lawyer that if he doesn't here from him by the 5th of July they are proceeding with the eviction. The assault case is set for Sept. 22. This is a vile attempt to rob this tenant of her home. We can not let this happen unless we have exhausted all of the avenues have been exhausted. If we as an organization cannot draw a line in the sand in a case like this we are not serving our members. Please make us aware of any like cases out there that are credible. It seems the worse the economy gets the worse our lifestyle is attacked with raise in rents unbundling of utilities and such. There is a limit to how much some of us can pay and with the folks living on fixed incomes it becomes a burden.
On a different subject : As the time ticks by we get older and some of us get ill or need a hand with some things. So I would suggest that one never knows when this will become a problem for yourself so check around ,be proactive in your park to the needs of your neighbors and lend a hand if you can Some may need a ride to get groceries , get to a doctors appointment, get meds from the pharmacy, etc. We are neighbors, if you know of a need and cant call the office maybe we can help by canvasing members in your park that can help and enlist them in the aid of a neighbor.
One last thing, if you have any of the expertise in the areas AAMHO is asking for volunteers please consider helping we are in need and need you to come foward and volunteer if you are able. The summer has always been said that it is not busy well in the 5 years I have been volunteering that condition has never been a reality for me, any way if you can please help us help you help others . Thankyou
